Texas’s 2nd largest city, San Antonio, only 45 miles away and is home to The Alamo and Riverwalk.
Canyon Lake is owned by the Corp of Engineers and covers about 8,240 acres with about 80 miles of shoreline and an average depth of 43-feet. Canyon Lake is popular for the breathtaking views of the wide open blue waters.
Some activities near the lake include The Guadalupe River which is great for tubing and rafting. If golf is your game then Lakeside Golf Club is your top option for that round of golf.
Canyon Lake is also home to Lake Canyon Yacht Club, with 18 acres of land overlooking Canyon Lake. It has 144 slip waterfront with ample docking space for dry sailed boats and visitors participating in regattas, a two lane launching ramp, dry storage for over 150 boats, a clubhouse with a party deck, swimming pool, and a boat rigging tower for stepping and unstepping masts. The Lake Canyon Yacht Club supports an active racing program which includes J-22, Catalina 22, Flying Scot, Sunfish, Opti, PHRF, Portsmouth and Multi-hull fleets. Not to be missed is our annual Wurstfest Regatta, an LCYC signature event since 1968.
